Scott Hartnell would look pretty darn good in Oilers silks
It is no secret the Edmonton Oilers have always had interest in Philadelphia Flyers winger Scott Hartnell. Apparently he was nearly an Oiler a few years back but former GM Steve Tambellini decided to not pull the trigger on a potential deal involving defenceman Sheldon Souray. With new general manager Craig MacTavish looking to infuse some energy and a different dimension into his club's current makeup, perhaps the time has come to re-visit the possibility of acquiring the Regina native.

Quality players entering their prime, should top the Oilers shopping list
The Edmonton Oilers will unquestionably be looking to re-work the makings of their roster over the next few months. They are loaded with a ton of young talent upfront and appear to have a decent looking crop coming on the blueline. That being said, their needs are fairly obvious. More skill, more size and better veteran players.

Gagner may have worked himself into the Oilers future plans
Coming in to what eventually turned out to be an abbreviated 2013 season, Edmonton Oilers centre Sam Gagner had to prove once and for all, he had what it took to be a legitimate top six NHL forward. While he still has some obvious flaws in his game, the twenty-three year old has done enough to win over new general manager Craig MacTavish.

Dubnyk nothing more than adequate for the Oilers in 2013
Late last week, Edmonton Oilers General Manager Craig MacTavish took part in a TeleForum with hundreds of Edmonton Oilers season ticket holders. While the Oilers new GM answered many a question throughout the hour long event, probably the most surprising response to many fans, came when the discussion turned to starting netminder Devan Dubnyk.
