2013-14 Preview: Jones will get his opportunity to rebound
After putting together a pair of very productive campaigns during his first two years in Edmonton Oilers silks, the 2012-13 season was one Ryan Jones would love to forget. It started with the NHL Lockout, was followed by a freak eye injury that ultimately required surgery and nearly cost him his career. Upon returning to the Oilers lineup in late February, Jones struggled with his confidence and never found his game.

Omark re-signs but future will be in another NHL city
There is no question Linus Omark is talented enough to play in the National Hockey League. The issue surrounding the diminutive Swede has always been around his play away from the puck and especially in his own end of the rink.

Tyler Pitlick and the 2014-15 Oilers
Following the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, you would have been hard pressed to find people who were not thrilled with the Edmonton Oilers selection of Tyler Pitlcik with the first pick on the second round. Central Scouting had the youngster sitting 18th in their final rankings and TSN's Bob Mackenzie had him positioned at 25th on his closing list.
