RNH in = Arcobello out and a chance at a successful October
With Ryan Nugent-Hopkins taking part in full contact drills during practice on Thursday morning, it looks as though the Edmonton Oilers will finally let the cat out of the bag.

Two points dropped that could come back to haunt
After watching the Edmonton Oilers hand the Winnipeg Jets two points on the opening night of the 2013-14 schedule, I couldn't help but wonder if that result might not just come back to haunt them at the end of the regular season. Over the course of an 82 game schedule, teams will generally win a handful of games they have no business winning and conversely drop a few that should have been in the bag. It's the nature of sport.

Dubnyk lays an egg in season opener
It wasn't supposed to be like this. 2013-14 Preview: Dubnyk will need to carry the load early
The Edmonton Oilers will kickoff their 2013-14 schedule against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night at Rexall Place. After missing the playoffs for seven consecutive years, both the organization and its fan base are ready to see this team finally take a step forward and make their long awaited return to the post-season.

2013-14 Preview: Belov is a wild card
He may have arrived late to the Edmonton Oilers training camp due to visa issues but defenceman Anton Belov has done nothing but impress since his arrival to the Alberta capital. In just under two weeks, the talented Russian has already shown enough to cement himself a spot inside the top six and don’t be surprised to see him push for a bigger role as the year progresses.

Ference named 14th captain in Oilers history
One of the biggest reasons Andrew Ference was brought on board by the Edmonton Oilers was his overall experience and leadership abilities. While the thirty-four year old is no longer the player he once was his winning pedigree is something the Oilers dressing room has been missing for ages.
