Oilers and Flames set to renew Battle of Alberta on Hockey Night in Canada
Hockey fans should have been treated to the first installment of the Battle of Alberta during last weekend's broadcast of Hockey Night in Canada. Game 3: Edmonton 2 Los Angeles 1 (OT)
In a game that featured arguably the worst bit of officiating that any pair of NHL officials may have ever delivered on one given night, at the end of the day, it was all worth it for the Edmonton Oilers and their fans. Nail Yakupov's last second tying goal and ensuing celebration, is something few in Oil Country will ever forget.

Game 2: San Jose 6 Edmonton 3
Well that surely was not what the Edmonton Oilers had in mind when it came to their 2013 home opener. A six goal first period outburst from the visiting San Jose Sharks proved to be far too much to overcome, as Ralph Krueger's crew were badly outclassed and frankly embarrassed, in falling 6-3 to the Pacific Division leading Sharks.
