Decision Time

With the Edmonton Oilers pre-season schedule officially over, the time for Ken Holland and Dave Tippett to decide who will be part of the equation in Wednesday’s season opener has arrived. Defenceman Anton Belov made his long-awaited debut in Oilers silks, as the free agent signing was paired with fellow Russian blueliner Denis Grebeshkov.

Flames thump Oilers in rookie tournament opener

After watching the likes of Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins do their thing during previous editions of the now annual Young Stars Tournament in Penticton, British Columbia, it should have come as no surprise to see the Edmonton Oilers struggle in their opener of this year's tourney.
