Game 7: San Jose 3 Edmonton 2 (SO)

Funny what a difference twenty-four hours and an opponent willing to play the game can make. After sitting through what was easily the dullest game of the year on Wednesday night in Phoenix, the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks managed to treat hockey fans to one helluva tilt.

Game 6: Edmonton 2 Phoenix 1 (OT)

An overtime power play winner off the stick of Nail Yakupov and another stellar performance from netminder Devan Dubnyk, helped the Edmonton Oilers sneak past the Phoenix Coyotes  2-1 in Wednesday night NHL action.

Oil Notes: Khabibulin set to return to Oilers lineup

With the Edmonton Oilers decision to place netminder Yann Danis on waivers Tuesday morning, one can safely assume that veteran Nikolai Khabibulin is ready to make his 2013 debut. With the Oilers in the midst of a four game in six night stretch, which includes a three game in four night road swing, the return of the Russian netminder could not have come at a better time.

Game 5: Edmonton 4 Colorado 1

The Edmonton Oilers needed a bounce back performance, after a less than stellar outing against the Calgary Flames on Saturday night. Thanks to yet another impressive showing from the Oilers lethal power play and a solid thirty-seven save showing from Devan Dubnyk, they did exactly that.
