Gagner's time in Oilers silk is done
Does he stay or does he go? That is ultimately the question when it comes to Edmonton Oilers centre Sam Gagner. After seven years in the National Hockey League it appears as though the former sixth overall pick and the organization have reached a crossroads in their relationship.
It has become painfully obvious, even to the staunchest of Gagner supporters, that a one-two punch of #89 and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is one that simply doesn’t work in today’s NHL.

UFA Market...here we come!!!
There is no question that the 2013-14 campaign will go down as one of
the most disappointing in the history of the Edmonton Oilers.
This was supposed to be the year the guys in Orange and Blue were going
to push for a playoff spot and instead they did nothing more than push
for yet another lottery pick.

MacT will be a busy man this summer
With the NHL Trade Deadline roughly two weeks away, you can bet Edmonton Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish is a busy man. While he has his fair share of pending unrestricted free agents to move at the deadline, the best of the bunch being Ales Hemsky, rumours surrounding the possible departure of Sam Gagner won’t go away.
